Blog Summary
Throughout my time in the Applied Digital Learning Program, I have learned a lot regarding innovative education practices, tools and techniques to revitalize learning, and had thought provoking discussions with professors and classmates regarding these and many other topics. Perhaps the most useful aspect of this program though has been creating blog posts. By writing in my blog, I have the opportunity to expand on ideas explored and research uncovered. By writing my thought processes, it has aided in their development, prompting ideas to emerge in my brain as I type as fast as I can trying to capture them before they disappear.
In my blog, I navigate through a collection of education topics, such as my learning manifesto and how I plan on becoming a more innovative educator, and personal ones, such as my infant son Max and my own college experience. The implementation and evolution of my blog from an assortment of rambling thoughts to a web of connections extending from my own experiences to research I am interested in exploring further, has proved transformative. I am able to track my growth throughout the course of the program and actively see the connections made as the web was woven.
I look forward to developing my blog further and seeing how far the connections extend. Who knows, maybe my own thoughts can introduce new ideas and concepts to other educators.

Wrapping Things Up

In conclusion, the development of my ePortfolio has been a rewarding and empowering experience. By documenting my learning and ideas through blog posts, I have enhanced the development of my other projects such as my innovation plan and ePortfolio. Exploring the theoretical connections between what I value in my learning manifesto and growth mindset has opened my eyes to how I can implement more effective practices in my work and the program I hope to develop. All in all, I feel like I have become a more well rounded educator, one who connects theory to practice, one who adopts a growth mindset in her own learning in addition to the learning opportunities of others, and one who cannot wait to continue charging forth to a future unknown.
