At the beginning of this course, we reviewed Dr. Thibodeaux’s “Publishing: Can I Really Do That” page http://tilisathibodeaux.com/wordpress/?page_id=841. This was to provide my peers and I have potential publishing options as well as articles that would serve as exemplars. Based on these, I created my publication outline, linked above.
My final draft of my publication article focuses on the value of incorporating family into the college application process of students, specifically addressing ways to accommodate all families to ensure the best actions for their students.
Through the feedforward and collaboration with my group and peers, I was able to make beneficial edits to my rough draft. The peer review process proved to be very helpful and provided me with a multitude of new perspectives and ideas. After meeting with my peers to discuss our ratings, my peers rated my publication rough draft a 48/50.
Media Pitch
To spread awareness of my project and my upcoming publication, I developed the following media pitch.
